  5. Add tomato paste and saute for 3-4 minutes.
  6. Add 1/2 tsp red chili powder, 1/4 tsp turmeric powder, salt to taste, 2 tsp coriander powder. Keep stirring for few minutes on low flame.
  7. The masalas start releasing ghee from sides, Pour boiled dal and about add 1 cup of water to adjust the consistency of dal. As dal is boils, add garam masala, mix well and boil dal for 1-2 minutes. Dal is ready.
  8. For tempering, heat 1 tbsp of ghee. Add 1/4 tsp cumin seeds. After the cumin splutters, add 1/4 tsp red chili powder and add it to the dal. Whole green moong dal is ready.
