- 1/2 tsp cumin seeds

- 1 tbsp chopped coriander leaves
Instructions to make to make Green Moong Tadka Dal
- Wash and Soak moong Daal for 1 hour.
- Transfer it in a pressure cooker. Add water, salt and turmeric powder and pressure cook till 4 minutes after first whistle. Let pressure releases automatically.
- Peel, Wash and chop onions. Grate ginger. Chop green chilli.
- Heat ghee in a wok. Add finely chopped onions, ginger and green chilli. Cook till onion gets golden. Add chopped tomatoes.
- Add red chilli powder, salt and garam masala and saute for 2-3 minutes.
- Add kasuri methi and boiled dal and saute for 1 minute.
- Now in a small pan heat ghee. Add cumin seeds and when cumin seeds splutter add red chilli powder.
- Transfer this tempering in dal and cook for 2 minutes.
- Serve hot garnished with chopped coriander leaves with rice or chapatti as main course.
