- As Per Required Coriander seeds (crushed)
- 1 tsp Grated ginger
- 3 tsp Chopped garlic
- 3-4 Slit green chillies
Steps to make to make Chana Dal
- Wash the chana dal nicely and soak it for 2 -3 hours.
- In a pressure cooker, add water,2-3 tsp of fennel seeds along with a pinch of salt. Add chana dal and pressure cook for 3-4 whistles until soft and cooked. Keep aside.
- Heat oil in a pan, Add cumin seeds and sliced onions. Saute for a minute
- Add chopped garlic. Mix and cook until onions gets golden brown in color
- Add spices: Salt+ red chilli powder+ Turmeric powder. Mix well
- Add tomato puree + grated ginger. Mix and cook until oil separates
- When oil separates, Add boiled chana dal
- Add green slit chillies. Mix well
- Add water (according to your choice). Add crushed coriander seeds
- Cook for 5 minutes more. It's ready.
- Transfer in a serving bowl.
